About

Vaetan Thought is a metareligion for the third millennium.

A metareligion is a set of religious beliefs that can be combined with an individual’s existing religion without the need to convert. Vaetan Thought aims to be the seminal source of morality for the next one thousand years of human history, paving the way towards a moral colonization of space and further advancement of humanity. Religion and politics in the modern world are fundamentally flawed.

It is clear that no modern religions have been capable of keeping up with technological advancement, with the abandonment of Christianity in the West and Luddite reversions of Islam in the East. Judaism contends mostly with its own survival. Buddhism and Hinduism have not addressed the rise in identity unique to the digital era.

Politics are artificially tied to a concept of “right” and “left”, with the whole of the civilized world trapped in the binary conflict between royalists and revolutionaries created in the French Revolution. “Right” and “left” are fictional social constructs that exact disastrous consequences on our civilization. “The Right” seeks to preserve that which is dysfunctional, while “the Left” seeks to destroy that which is functional.

Vaetan Thought cannot be anchored to any side of the political spectrum. Vaetan Thought eschews ideology and identity, instead focusing on solutions to our modern problems. Vaetan Thought makes criticism of modern religions, with thorough explanation of how those religions can return to being institutions of morality. Vaetan Thought provides solutions to the racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual divisions in politics.

Join Vaetan adherents as we seek to bring about Utopia, by asserting that we will never reach Utopia. Unlike the dictatorships of the twentieth century, we will never cease to improve upon our society. Life is a journey, not a destination, so join us as we take our journey together.
